Frontal Shot
I emphasized that same radial concept with the cross jointed scaffolding and the pulled nylon fibers that protrude from the cavities of the plaster.

Scaffolding

Radiating, Veining, and Engulfing.

This project sought to tackle a new way of suspending cast plaster pieces of rotten Star Fruits. The plaster resulted with some solid pieces and others with voids. Pulled Nylon is weaved through each of the voids to emphasize the star structure.

what is biomimi?

Biomimi is short for biomimicry, a way of design that looks to nature for solutions. With architectural problems such as ventilation or insulation, there are more more eco-friendly designs found using biomimicry. Biomimicry is also the combination of my greatest passions : art, nature, and the environment. There is nothing better than working to save the world and enjoying every minute of it!
